Obstacles and opportunities

In ancient times; A King had a large rock placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself, and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king’s richest merchants, noble citizens, royal advisers, came by and simply walked around it.Many, loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but no one did anything about getting the rock out of the way.It remind us of our church complainers, they only grumble and complain, and do almost nothing to improve it.Then a poor farmer came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the big rock, the farmer laid down his burden and tried to move the rock to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the poor farmer picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the rock had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King,  indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the rock from the roadway. The farmer learned, what many of us never understand: Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.Obstacles are opportunities to excel in faith, to achieve academic goals, to mature spiritually.Obstacles in our way varies, bad habit, a family problem, or financial.Whatever the obstacle is, Jesus Christ will help overcome it.The Heavenly king hides golden coins: encouraging words under each obstacle on our way.You can do it. Together- you and your creator. But be prepared to fight and sweat for it. A rock on our way is an invitation to fight. There are lots of challenges in our lives, and they may require fights. It will make us stronger and wiser. For man who is in a fight, God has prepared a special armor to wear and weapons to fight with; Like truth, faith, prayer, Word of God, righteousness, salvation and peace.God wants us to trust in His wisdom and His word.I don’t know what obstacles do you have? Are they as big a problem, or small challenge?just trust the lord,   no matter what. When God is fighting on your side, nothing can stop you from achieving your goals and living your dreams.Fr Zacharia
