Mark 10:27 “… all things are possible with God”

We do not like making mistakes, we do not want to make mistakes, we try hard to not fail. But guess what? As a Priest I tell my church leaders, chairs of organizations at St. Apkar that they have my permission to make at least one mistake a week in there volunteer work. Why? Because it’s OK to make mistakes — hopefully you are not making the same mistakes over and over again each week.If you are risk taker be ready to fail sometimes. You fail -you learn. When you are down you look for the Lord, You look for his guidance. If you never fail it means you never try anything new. The greatest failure is the failure to try. God wants us to be innovative, to think out of the box, to find new horizons. In Christian life, taking risk means -building. In other words, ‘risk-taking’ is an expression of faith, we trust God and live by faith. When we say to take risks, we are saying to build up faith in God. According to your faith will it be done to you. …” Matthew 9:29in Matthew 25, Jesus tells the story of three servants who are given a varying amounts of talents or gifts by their master just before he goes on a long journey. Jesus says one servant was given ten talents let us say 10 dollars, which he went out and doubled; another servant was given five talents- let us say 5 dollars, which he also doubled. When the master returned, he told these servants, “Good work! You did your well. From now on be my partner.”the master describes these servants as faithful. But, in the story, the servant who was given one talent proves to be unfaithful, telling his returning master, “… I know you have high standards and hate careless ways, that you demand the best and make no allowances for error. I was afraid I might disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured, and hid your money. Here it is, and sound down to the last cent.”The Master was angry, and he told the servant: “… That’s a terrible way to live! It is wrong to live carefully like that! If you knew I was after the best, why did you do less than the least? The least you could have done would have been to invest the sum with the bankers, where at least I would have gotten a little interest.”The master then said the single talent should be given to the one who risked the most: “For whoever has, will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.…” sounds like wall street but it is the bible and it is talking about trusting God. The point is — when you’re not taking risks with God, you’re being unfaithful. What can we do so that when we fail we will be able to stand up again and this time even stronger and wiser.1. Plan ahead. “If you fail to plan, you’re planning to fail.” Taking risk does not mean walking blindly, or gambling.! look ahead and trust God.Proverbs 16:9 “We have to make our plans counting on God to direct us.” 2. Do not rush things “don’t count your chickens before the eggs have hatched”. You are never going to get anywhere if you think you are already there.3.Do not give up. Keep trying. Life is all about keep trying. Best tombstone writing is this “’ at list he did try”’ 4.pray and listen to God. When you say I do not need any advice –then you fail. Pride causes us to fail.Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to man but in the end it leads to death.” God’s word is filled with guiding principle to make our life joyful. We need to learn not to be afraid but taking risk and live by trusting God, live by faith.Take a risk in a relationship. Make the first move to heal old wounds or to reconcile with love ones. Shake a hand with a difficult neighbor.Take a risk in service. Offer yourself for volunteer work in the church that will require more time than you have available and see how God will bless you abundantly for that.Take a risk in giving and watch how God will multiply your offerings.Take a risk to be helpful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, and not be afraid that others will take advantage of it.

Take a risk by accepting the truth.

Take a risk and Follow your passions and dreams.

Take a risk and try again, life always offers you another chance… it’s called tomorrow.
